What are the side effects of laser hair removal?

Dec 14th, 2011

At Loving Laser, we think that the most important "side effects” of laser hair removal are increased confidence, time saved that you used to spend shaving, plucking or waxing and fewer trips to the drugstore to pick up a new package of razors.

However, laser treatment for hair removal is a medical procedure. As with any medical procedure, there are a few potential side effects you should be aware of.
  • Red, irritated skin, similar to a sunburn (typically not more than 1-2 days)
  • Temporary changes in skin color (moisturizers help avoid this)
  • Blisters, swelling, redness and scarring are all very rare, but possible, side effects.
At Loving Laser, we’ve been performing laser hair removal for years. Nearly all of our customers tell us that any temporary discomfort is more than worth the results they’ve received.
